Singaporean home - Almost 80% to 90% stay in HDB flats

I think you would like to know.

Some articles say that almost close to 80% to 90% of the Singaporean stay in HDB flats. That is a huge figure and just to let you know, I also am one of the proud owners of a HDB flat at Sengkang.

HDB flats basically classified into public and semi public houses. For public houses it is further sub divider into 3 rooms, 4 rooms 5 rooms, Executive and each having differed in floor areas. The Ownership in the public house is subjected to 99 year lease period.



Do you know that Queenstown is one of the early estates being built in Singapore. The look and feel of HDB estates has change a lot since during the 80s. Normally you can find few huge shopping malls, A Community Center, Neighborhood Police Post and etc. within an estate. They have improved a lot on the public transportation; you can find a sky train in new estates like mine. It has Great facilities ….!

The Punggol Newtown, it is the most newly built Estate and you can find few integrated roof garden at some of the Car park.
