When you first step in to Kampong Glam and Arab Street you will notice it is so incredible to walk around the streets and it is so different from other places. If you pay attention you will notice most people here dress in Arab style and the lady with their head covered.

Today, if you come to Kampong Glam or Arab Street, you still able to witness the strong bond of Muslim and ethnic-Malay culture within the area.

You can find many shops here sell items like textiles antiques, jewelry, artifacts and Basket-ware......... and electronic goods too.

Arab street is a street where you can find items like ostrich feathers, filmy organza wholesale bales of cloth, filmy organza and many more……….

Thank to the Singapore government like little India and Chinatown, the row of old and rundown Shophouses at Arab Street, Bagdad Street and Bussorah Street were refurbished. New life was brought back to these areas and nowadays many people come to these areas. The major landmark of the place is Sultan Mosque and it located is at Muscat Street and North Bridge Road within the Kampong Glam.

When you want to visit Mosques in Singapore; some of the right etiquette must be practice Do not wear short and when you enter remember to remove your shoes before you enter. Lady are not to wear short skirt or sleeveless or bareback. No cameras or videoing are allowed.

After you have been walking for a while you can take a break in one of the many cafes Great place to take a breather and enjoy a nice cold drink and you can try some of the Mediterranean food here.
