Singapore Chinatown is located Near Central Business District Area. The area is also known as Niu Che Shui. You can take the North-East line and alight at Chinatown station to reach Chinatown. Chinatown is a unique place to shop. You won’t able to find stuffs like LV, Gucci or other branded items.
Along the main Road Eu Tong Sen Street you can see Shopping mall like People's Park Complex, which sell mostly Electronics stuff like DVD players, Hand phones, and cloths and few Chinese Medicines and etc. On the second floor there are lots of travel agents and massage parlours.You can find at least 2 or more licensed money Changer at main Entrance. Most of the Handphones sold here are for Export only. I got my phone for a good bargain.
You can find a hawker centre at People's Park Centre and it offer a variety of delicious Chinese foods, try going up to the second floor you will a whole lots of Textile and garment shops here.

Opposite People’s Park Complex is The Majestic. It was formerly a cinema during the 80’s. But today it has converted into a shopping complex. It doesn’t have many shops in here. The only worth to mention is the beef noodle at second floor. Great taste!
Just behind The Majestic is OG People’s Park, this Department store carry a wide range of products Adidas, Giordano and other. Did I mention that my lovely wife is working at OG.
Yue Hwa is just at the cross junction, this shopping mall selling original China Product and you can find lots of lady wears here. A wide selection of local crafts is available at the Singapore Handicraft Centre in Chinatown Point.
Don't miss out on our local favorite delicacy "bak Kwa" (barbecued meat). "Bak kwa" is very popular during Chinese New Year period and you can see people queuing up during the last few days of Chinese New Year.......... So don’t forget to buy 1 or 2 kg home for your friends and relatives. The few famous name selling “Bak kwa” are Bee Cheng Hiang, Fragrance and Lim Chee Guan.
If you scout around, you will see rows of preserved historic Shophouses along both sides of Pagoda Street selling stuffs like lacquer wave, woodcrafts, masks, antiques and furniture and many more........here also sell lots of small souvenir gifts for you to bring home.
