 Singaporean Obsession over buying handphone!8 out of 10 people in Singapore own a handphone, be it, a simple handphone or a high tech functional handphone with 3G conference. You can see people talking on the handphone at the bus stop, mrt, and restaurant and sometime in the toilets. What can I say; we just can’t go without a handphone.A bit sad right! We are so so………….pathetic. Handphones have become part of the lifestyle of every Singaporean. We are so use to having a handphone with us when we go out. My wife was so panic when she forgot to bring her handphone out. You can see not only has the adult using it, but you seen young kids at the age of 8 to 12 years old also very well with their phone. This rapid expansion has come about with the increasing mobility and changing lifestyles of people in Singapore, Some of my friends change their handphone every 3 months. Wow must be super rich!!! But phone are cheap nowadays you can see phone selling for $0 dollars when you sign up with any of the mobile line providers Super cool right People buy phone for many reasons. But to some people handphone is representing status and to me my N70 is good enough. It gives me the freedom of making call and at the same time, allows me to take picture from the phone.
