Orchard Road got its name from the nutmeg, pepper and fruit orchards that used to lie on either side of the street in the 1800s.Orchard not only a major tourist attraction but it also frequented by the local.
The first thing you will notice when you come to orchard road, there are lots of Shopping centre on both sides of the road. It stretch about 3km!
Nowadays not only you can see Huge and Big shopping malls along Orchard Road. But, along both side of Broadways you can find lots of Kiosks and small huts selling delicious foods and snacks, Drink and Coffee and so on………!If you’re tired after all those shopping maybe you can find a good place to rest your legs. Sit down and relax! Have Some Coffee or Tea! Feel great just to looking at the People along Orchard Road………! I don’t mind spend the whole afternoon just to lay back and relax at Orchard Road.
You can take MRT to orchard road and there are 3 major stations will stop along orchard road. The stations are Orchard, Someset, Dhoby Ghaut This places is very popular during weekends.
You can find some of the biggest shopping malls at orchard road,Wheellock, Shaw Centre, Lucky Plaza, Tang , Ngee Ann City, The Paragon Centre Point and Plaza Singapura and many more.......
If you love branded stuff, you can find lots branded boutiques shop at Paragon which sell stuffs like LV, Guess, Versace and etc.
