Absolutely Lovely Temple - Thian Hock Keng

As you walk along Amoy street you will come across a very old and attractive temple This is a well known temple call Thian Hock Keng and it is the oldest Chinese temple in Singapore.

Known as the temple of the goddess of the sea and protector of all sailors, the temple contains relics brought from China which are said to be hundreds of years old and if I not wrong, I remember I took my wedding photos here ten year ago.

SRI MARIAMMAN TEMPLE

As you come to the end of Pagoda Street joining South bridge road, you will come across a Hindu temple. Before you enter the temple you will notice the devotees ring the bell on the main door. these in the hope that the requests they make will be granted.

The present brick building was built in 1862 to dedicated to the Goddess Sri Mariamman . Sri Mariamman's origin can be traced to Tamil speaking region of south India where she is a village goddess More >>


Esplanade on the Bay

Esplanade on the Bay is Singapore later Art center and it located beside Singapore River and very near business district.
