Visit Singapore - Singapore #1 pastime of all, Eating !

Where can you find the best Singapore food? you may like to ask me this.

And are you getting hungry? Have you heard someone told you that eating is Singapoean #1 partime. That's so truth. We love to eat!

You can find array of variety of delicious and mouthwatering Singapore food in every corner of streets and restaurants. Here are one or two places for great dining.

Did you know....

First Orchard Road Street Party

The first ever street party was held on 8 Aug 1988 on Orchard Road to commemorate Singapore’s 23rd National Day. It featured an hour-long variety show, which started at 11pm and ended at 2am with a midnight countdown and opening of champagne by the Deputy Prime Minister then, Goh Chok Tong..

Au Jardin Les Amis- Lovely and beautiful setting, a classical touch French food.

Au Jardin is located in an elegant restored colonial house in the middle of Singapore's lush Botanic Gardens. You have to take a short walk through the beautiful garden before the restaurant appears in front of you.

You will notice the setting is beautiful and lovely as you enter the house. Once inside the service is superb, more than just efficient and friendly. For wine lovers, the wine list is rather comprehensive. No need to worry, with here you have a top-class sommelier on hand to help with the wine list.

The tasting menu was excellent and innovative, my wife and I enjoy very much. I must say that the ambience is fantastically romantic, where one can dine away without an over crowded feeling. You paying for the privilege, with dinner running over SGD 50 per person, but it is well worth it.

A true gem in Singapore!

It is best for couples or small groups of up to 6. Many would say for special celebrations but life is always worth celebrating.

My wife and i will try to go back on another occasion.

More Great Eating in Singapore

Holland Village is fast growing popular place for young and expatriates for its Nightlife. Holland V not only a great chill out place to relax and retreat but it also offers great variety of foods. The Biggest draw to Holland Village is that it offers great ambience and choice of many.
