Singapore pretty small in size and you can get to most of the places of interests by MRT,Buses OR by Taxi.Of course you could go to book store or petrols station and etc.. to get your map. However for more accurate maps of Singapore and directions to locations, you can always go online. Google or yahoo search is the BEST. If you're pretty internet savvy, you know all about Google Maps, MapQuest, Yahoo Maps, etc. You could even use Google Earth and use the landmark or attraction features to get a general idea of where places are you know just for visual importance.
