World’s Largest Airport

When Changi International Airport was first officially opened on 29 Dec 1981, it was the world’s largest airport and had the world’s largest column-free hanger at 20,000 sq m. It was built mainly on reclaimed land.

Today, Singapore has a new Merlion , an enhanced Raffles Hotel, the National Flower, Changi Chapel Museum, Boat Quay , a conserved Chinatown and many other attractions offering new experiences for visitors and an enriched life for Singaporeans.

So , when are you going to visit Singapore?

Clean and Green

Although there's many high-rise buildings in Singapore but there's also many trees and nature throughout the island. Today you see Singapore as a clean and green city.

During the 60's Singapore take a serious step to ask his people to make Singapore a green and shady city. That was the beginning of clean and green Singapore. And this is how we got our name the "garden city".

Carving Out the Historic Zone

Did you knows, what today we refer to the ethnic zone as Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Glam and the Civic District all thank to Sir Stamford Raffles.

The story begin during the early year,When Sir Stamford Raffles was in Singapore, he had decided that various ethnic group should be house in differ district and it was say that the purpose of divide the races is to promote racial harmony. Nevertheless, this decision he make has great impact on the development of Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam and so on....

Today, when you walk the area, you are able to witness the scenes of Singapore's Traditional culture and lifestyle at all these ethnic zones. These are not staged for the benefit of tourist.

Remember the last time when you were here last Christmas, you got to notice the lighting up along Orchard road.

Remember the lighting up along Chinatown during Chinese New year on February.

The lighting up along Orchard Road was introduced during 1984 and it was Name “Christmas at the Equator”.

Cool Right!

It had been carried on till today for every year. Hope to see you here during the next Christmas.
